If you wonder why beside my bed...
Inside a drawer - a sparkly ball
Of Stretchy Yarn all round and red,
Read on- The story I'll recall.
My Puppy loose, it was late one day,
She loved to play with Yarn on the floor-
Out it would come from the closet...
Each time I forgot to close that door!
Each time I would Laugh...
As I glanced at the mess,
Knowing I could have moved that box
Of all the yarn, the lst time of stress.
Then today, I stopped to stare at the floor-
I paused amazed to see the Web all about,
The Yarn was here and there and everywhere...
Many clumps were scattered throughout.
I thought about so much like Life,
Before me on the rug-straight and turns...
That yarn so like a web of strife-
And clumps of crisis strewn!
I sat right down to roll it all up,
I knew it would take time...
A lot of determination and needing patience-
Untangle all the clumps, it would be fine.
This glittery/sparkly yarn, like JOY upon this Earth-
I cannot separate the threads now bound,
Nor will I quit the test- the quest ...
as I stretch and wind this yarn around, around.
Marriage must be flexible...a lot of give and take,
My yarn not stretched too tight- like a rubber ball,
The wisdom came, my soul awake...
Magic was my Bounce, I didn't miss HIS call!
Different clumps took different times...
Every tangle- A challenge of its own,
Then came the last, close to the end-
The hardest to unwind, I moan!
But in the end, It never Broke...
My Ball of Yarn Remained the Same-
If I'm as lucky these last Earth Days,
My Marriage will intact Remain.
My Covenant Vows today I Sing...
For Better or For Worse I Say,
Eternally Round MY Wedding Ring-
Must on My Finger Stay!
So You See this Ball of Yarn-
Is much more than it Seems...
Each time I open up my Drawer,
I know I Can Untangle Anything.
Untangle Life and Sparkle, and You will Also See...
That Satan will be Bound and Says "Oh Darn"
So Now YOU Know MY Story-
SHOULD YOU FIND MY BALL OF YARN.
